This mall is huge. If you are looking for something, chances are you will find it. The food court has one of the biggest variety I have ever experienced. Definitely worth a visit. A great place to shop, not far from Mitte and very near to Potsdamer Platz. Quite good selection of shops and a great food court. The mall is fine in what it has to offer but definitely not welcoming to travellers. Was enjoying my shopping when I ran out of battery on my Iphone surprise surprise.
Searched for 30 min for a place to recharge, nothing. Worse, when I plugged my charger in one of the power outlets placed very conveniently next to the public seats available, it turned out that I was not allowed to use them! And one angry security guy explained it to me very rudely!
Why place them there if they are not to be used? Aren't tourists allowed to recharge for the sake of knowing their way around the mall? Large shopping mall, maybe even too big, nothing new compared to other stores and malls that already exist in Berlin. But if you feel like eating tasty donut, try the happy donuts, pleasant and friendly service, reasonable prices, and cool and delicious donuts.
Every city has its Mall or Shopping Centre and this one in the centre of Berlin is quite impressive. Multiple floors connected by escalators some of the longest I have seen and featuring a wide range of shops of all types. There is even a floor for kids but what you do notice is the mass of food outlets on the upper deck which seem to be permanently busy.
Worth a visit and a great way of staying dry if its wet outside but most visitors don't put shopping as an essential but its there anyway. There seemed to be so many malls and shopping centres in Berlin, wherever we went there was another one just around the corner. The mall has a foodcourt which was great to grab a quick bite on the hop as we had a pre arranged tour to get to.
